Every First Sunday of August: Day of the land and the old professions at Saint Saturnin les Apt

A group of passionate volunteers gathered within the association "Sant Savournin" organize this celebration being held every first Sunday of August. A perfect way to revive agricultural traditions and crafts from the Luberon.

A customized program: from 10:30 plowing demonstration and crushing by horses. Provencal cookery demonstration and old way of cutting melon.

From 12 h 30, served picnic in the shade of oak trees (tickets to withdraw from the town hall before July 31).

From 15 pm onward, the afternoon will be rich in meetings, flavors and discoveries: You will attend the manual harvest and lavender and distillation; the horses marking, the sheep shearing, the baker and its oven ...

Old tools will be exhibit reminding you of the old times.

To get the best out of the day of the land, you can take part in the calligraphy workshop, in the lavender bottles confectionery, the pottery, wooden toys; Meanwhile, your children will ride carriages or ponies ...
in a traditional Provencal Atmosphere.
